Dr. Jenesa Banman
Dr. Jenesa Banman’s journey to becoming veterinarian began on her family’s dairy farm during her childhood, where she found herself fulfilled by the hands-on care of animals. Witnessing a veterinary surgery on her favourite milking cow sparked her interest in veterinary medicine.
Since graduating from veterinary college in 2012, Dr. Jenesa has focused most of her career on companion animal medicine. Initially, she worked with both farm and companion animals but later embraced companion animal medicine where she found strong mentorship and support to grow. She especially enjoys the practice of ultrasound because it has allowed her to explore and help her patients with more complicated medical problems.
Outside of work, Dr. Jenesa loves gardening, finding joy in tending to her flowers and vegetables, and sharing them with her family and friends in the Pembina Valley. She enjoys life with her husband and their two children, alongside their pets, Cassie the cat and Lena the Labrador. This year, they’ve also embraced the adventure of raising cows and chickens (they call their small flock the Dixie Chicks).
With Village Veterinary Care, Dr Jenesa hopes to make a positive impact on the lives of pets and their owners, guided by her deep connection to the community and the rewarding relationships she builds along the way.
